We are determined to make products that make a positive impact - not just the end users and the environment, but also on the quality of life of the workers who made them.
Just as important as the materials are the hands that make our products. We work closely with small companies in Germany, Spain and Portugal who are experts in their field.
All textiles are made in Italy and Portugal,and our leather wallets in Spain and Berlin.
Our signature leather straps are made in a factory in north-west Germany that employs people with disabilities.

All of our workshops stand for transparency and fair working conditions. We visit each company regularly and develop a close personal relationship with each one. This involvement in the manufacture of our products ensures integrity at every stage of the process.

RECYCLED LEATHER

For our leather accessories, we use only leftover leather sourced from furniture manufacturers.
These pieces are often discarded due to small imperfections in shade, minor faults, or becausethey are too small for larger production. For us, however, this is exactly what makes them special - we see beauty in imperfection and have developed designs that efficiently make use of even the smallest leather pieces.

In addition, we work with local skilled manufacturers. This allows us to run an eco-friendly business withm inimal waste and a reduced impact on our environment.

Leather Wallets

REGENERATED YARN

For our scarves and accessories, we use a regenerated yarn made from remnants of new textiles that arise during clothing production. The leftover materials are blended to create new colours. The fibre, mainly cotton, is then refined, and a small amount of a “binder fibre” (acrylic, polyester, viscose) is spun into the yarn to give the beautiful, soft yarn strength, durability, and elasticity.

All collections by GILLIO, CANNOLI BISCOTTI, and ALBA, as well as the matching accessories, are made from this regenerated yarn.

Social responsibility:

At the heart of our production is a strong sense of social responsibility. Our distinctive upcycled leather straps are produced by a non-profit organization that supports people with disabilities.
